These cards are glued on to the feathers on a turkey. When completed each will tell the mentor how thankful the student is to have him/her: I am thankful for my Mentor

Lesson Plan Additions

I add to each packet some additional worksheets from the www.readinga-z.com web site.

For first graders (some second graders) Dolch word rings help increase (sight word vocabulary) especially since at the start of the year they are not using packets that have the fluency check included.

These also help to add variety to the packets and make them last for several days.
